Red Faction: Armageddon เกมส์แนว Action Shooting มุมมองบุคคลที่ 3 ที่ถูกพัฒนาโดยทีมงาน Volition, Inc ซึ่ง ในเกมส์ Red Faction: Armageddon ตัวเอกคือ Darius Mason หลานชายของวีรบุรุษแห่งกลุ่มปฏิวัติ Alec Mason และ Samanya ที่จะมาพร้อมอาวุธหลักคือปืนสนามแม่เหล็กที่สามารถ ทำลายสิ่งต่างๆได้ในพริบตาหรือสามารถ สร้างสิ่งที่ถูกทำลายนั้นให้กลับไปเป็นเหมือนเดิมได้ โดยเหตุการณ์ของเกมส์ Red Faction: Armageddon กล่าวถึงเหตุการณ์ที่ต่อเนื่องจากภาค Guerrilla ปี 2170 เมื่อดาวอังคารที่มนุษย์ไปตั้งรกรากถิ่นฐานอาศัยอยู่นั้น เริ่มจะอยู่อาศัยไม่ได้อีกต่อไปเนื่องจากผลของสงครามส่งผลให้ สภาพอากาศที่เลวร้ายและเป็นภัยต่อมนุษย์ ส่งผลให้มนุษย์ต้องไปอยู่อาศัยตามอุโมงค์ ถ้ำ และ เหมืองใต้ดิน แต่ความเลวร้ายยังไม่จบเพียงแค่นั้นเนื่องมาจากภายใต้พื้นดินที่มนุษย์เริ่มเข้าไปอาศัยอยู่นั้นเป็นที่อยู่ของเหล่าอมนุษย์ที่ดุร้ายและ เป็นภัยคุกคามต่อมนุษย์ แต่เพื่อความอยู่รอด เราจะต้องต่อสู้กับพวกอมนุษย์ เพื่อช่วยเหลือผู้คนให้มีชีวิตรอดปลอดภัยเพื่อกลับขึ้นไปใช้ชีวิตอันสงบสุขบนพื้นดินในอนาคตอีกครั้ง
