Deus Ex: Human Revolution ภาคที่สามของเกมตระกูล Deus Ex โดยภาคใหม่นี้เป็นการร่วมกันพัฒนาขึ้นมาระหว่างสองบริษัท โดยที่ทางทีม Eidos จะยังเป็นผู้พัฒนาตัวเกมเหมือนเดิม แต่ว่าจะใช้ Crystal Engine ของ Square-Enix มาใช้พัฒนาขึ้น ซึ่งจริงๆแล้ว Deus Ex 3 นี่ประกาศไว้นานมากแล้วตั้งแต่ปี 2007
รูปแบบการเล่นของเกม Deus Ex: Human Revolution จะยังคงเป็นแนวยิงบุคคลที่หนึ่งหรือ FPS เหมือนเดิม เนื้อหาของเกมนี้จะกล่าวถึงสงครามของโลกมนุษย์ในยุคอนาคตประมาณปี 2027 ก็คือประมาณ 25 ปีก่อน Deus Ex ภาคแรก (ย้อนความอีกแล้ว) ผู้เล่นจะได้รับบทเป็น Adam Jensen ซึ่งเป็นหน่วยรักษาความปลอดภัยของบริษัทพัฒนาเทคโนโลยีชีวภาพ ซึ่งเขามีส่วนได้เห็นความลับของบริษัทที่ถูกโจมตี จึงตกเป็นพยานของแผนลับของพวกก่อการร้าย เขาจึงต้องสู้เพื่อเอาตัวรอดจากการถูกตามล่าและเพื่อเปิดเผยความจริง โดยระบบการเล่นจะเป็นแบบแอคชั่น RPG ในแบบอนาคต โดยตัวเองจะมีชุดอุปกรณ์พิเศษ Nano machine ช่วยในการต่อสู้ หลบซ่อนอำพลาง หาข่าวสารและข้อมูลต่างๆ รวมถึงใช้ในการแก้ไขปริศนาต่างๆในเกม
